I have either project managed or built over 50 projects to date, ranging from large warehouse conversions, to new residential builds in the country. From granny flats, music studios, artist studios to home offices in the back garden.

My broad experience stems from having worked in multiple facets of the construction industry: with developers in subdividing land; property owners in applying for planning and building permits; architects in quantity surveying (costing) projects; and liaised with surveyors managing inspection compliance. I worked many years ago as a builders labourer whilst at University, through to my current work as a residential Project Manager and Building Consultant. I have a Certificate IV in Building and Construction and am a certified ‘Passive House’ advisor with the Passive House Institute in Germany.

I am also an investor in developments, currently designing two holiday rental country homes in the Macedon Ranges on the Campaspe River.

St Andrews - rammed earth walls with wave roof design.

This home sits on a concrete slab and is constructed of rammed earth walls with a steel frame roof. The beautiful roof design gives the house a striking aspect. The roof pitch is calculated to allow for maximum light ingress in the colder months and the slab acts as a thermal mass to store the suns heat/energy. The neighbouring garage / home office mirrors the roof design giving the eye a rolling wave panorama. This design perfectly matches the rammed earth walls, steel frame and bushland environment.

Woodend - country home for a family

This house maximises the light ingress with clerestory windows near the ceiling in the living room. The brick north wall acts as a thermal mass for the wood stove and beautiful feature wall in the living room. All the windows are double glazed and insulation is optimised throughout.
