Building consultant for new residential builds and extensions, specialising in residential building/construction advice, Project Management of new residential builds and Site Management.

As a building consultant my role is to introduce you to:

  • sound building concepts, 

  • guide you through what is possible/advisable with your budget, 

  • get more ‘bang for your buck’ with each dollar of your budget

  • discuss a plan to take your building idea to reality, 

  • connect you to quality professionals such as tradespeople /builders /designers /draughtspeople, 

  • quality manufacturers of all your building needs – good quality for a good price,

  • inform you of the pitfalls, tricks, and ‘no go’ zones in building a home,

  • ideas behind a naturally warm home in winter and cool in summer with minimal cost

So you can create a good home.

 

I’m not trying to sell a product or lock a client into a contract, I’m not providing advice in the hope a client engages my services down the track, I’m providing objective advice to get your building idea off the ground.

Consultation Process

I charge a flat fee for two consultation sessions of $450 - $550 depending on the complexity of the build. Each session goes for as long as you wish and is held on site. 

The first consultation session goes over your needs, the proposed build, limitations of the site, what can be achieved with your budget, design ideas, the planning permit and building permit process, discuss advantages of different builders or construction companies, discuss which professionals may suit you best e.g draughts people and builders, energy efficiency and sustainability.

The second consultation session reviews the building design, connects the client to professionals, reviews the build cost and timeline, assists the client in drafting a brief, reviews materials and building components (e.g double glazing manufacturers), gives feedback on any client queries, and gets the building idea up and running.
